🚗 By Car — Straight to the Old Customs House

Via the A29 motorway (exit Varel/Obenstrohe or Varel-Nord) we are excellently connected to the road network. Simply follow the signs towards "Vareler Hafen".

🚂 By Train — Relaxed Arrival

Varel (Oldb) station is on the main line between Oldenburg and Wilhelmshaven and is served regularly by NordWestBahn. From the station you can reach the Old Customs House in approx. 5–10 minutes by taxi.

💡 Tip: During the season, use the holiday bus to explore the entire Jade Bay region and the North Sea coast affordably.

🅿️ Parking & E-Mobility

Free parking is available directly at our accommodations or on the public parking areas at the harbour.

🔌 Electric car: Public EV charging stations are located nearby at the harbour basin, so you can conveniently charge your vehicle during your stay.

🚲 Getting Around — Cycling & on Foot

The region around the Jade Bay is best explored on two wheels. Bicycle rental is available in Varel and Dangast. You can safely store your own bicycles with us.

The best part: Once you've arrived, you don't need a car anymore. Restaurants, fish boats, cafés and the dyke are all within a few minutes' walk.
